Aira Torres

Aira Torres is a Business Management graduate from the British Columbia Institute of Technology. She is an aspiring entrepreneur who is also passionate about photography, coffee, and nature. Aira is also pursuing her dream of travelling to broaden her knowledge about different cultures and traditions. As a Youth Board member, Aira hopes to share her entrepreneurial and creative skills to become more involved in the organization and the community.

 

Halle Forster

Halle Forster is a third year student at Western University pursuing an honours specialization degree in Health Sciences. As a recipient of the 2020 Governor General's Medal and a Cheerleading World Championship 2019 Bronze Medalist, Halle has excelled at the highest level in both her academics and extracurricular activities. This year she will be joining Western University's Cheerleading team, demonstrating her ability to commit to upper level education while pursuing excellence in sport. As a member of Pathfinder Youth Centre Society's Youth Board, Halle is able to provide her love of sport, health and education and unique perspective as a student athlete to encourage youth to pursue greatness in everything they do.

Ericka Jordan

Ericka is a first year at Douglas College pursuing Bachelor of Science in Nursing. For the past year, Ericka has been working with pathfinder as an administrator and this year, she also took the role of a supervisor, leading the summer student in preparing for the annual fundraising event, Charity Summer Games. As a part of the youth board of directors, she hopes to give back to the community by sharing her experiences and skills.

Neehaa Kannamreddy

Neehaa is a second year student at Douglas College currently enrolled in the General Business diploma. As a recipient of Douglas College’s President's Entrance Scholarship, Neehaa excels in academics because she enjoys learning new things. Since Grade 11, she has been involved in the community, with Stephanie Lim from Foundry Ridge Meadows saying “[Neehaa] rapidly grew from being a helper to becoming an active leader in our youth wellness center”. Since 2021, Neehaa has been closely involved with Bean Around Books that is owned by PYCS. She has been a volunteer, has taken the 12-week Bean Around Books Employment Program, and has been a summer student. Neehaa loves the work culture at PYCS and is excited to work with the Youth Board.

Juliana Manalo

Juliana Manalo is a first year business administration student at Simon Fraser University. She has experience working with several other non-profit organizations like the Vancouver Kindness Movement (VKM), which Juliana founded in 2020. She enjoys organizing shoreline clean-ups, fundraising events, and online workshops to help raise awareness on the impact of kindness in the community. In her free time, Juliana plays piano, volleyball, and sings as a soprano at the Vancouver Youth Choir and at the British Columbia Youth Choir. This year at Pathfinder Youth Centre Society (PYCS), she helped organize the second annual Summer Charity Games to support mentorship programs all across BC. As a youth board member, she hopes to continue working with the team at PYCS to further their impact through various channels throughout the community. 

Ashley Timperio

Ashley Timperio is a third year English student at the University of British Columbia and previously attended Simon Fraser University. She has been playing ice hockey for ten years and co-founded her high school’s first all-girls ball hockey team as well as coached elementary girls basketball for several years. She believes that a female presence in adolescent athletics is incredibly influential to youth development and that it is equally important to foster kindness and patience within yourself and others. In recent years she has worked and volunteered at Bean Around Books through Pathfinder’s Summer Student Program and assisted in fundraising for the Charity Summer Games. As a member of the Youth Board, she is incredibly enthusiastic for the opportunity invigorate youth in the community and encourage mindfulness.

Jessy Hart

Jessy is a Pathfinder graduate from 2017 and has maintained a strong connection with Pathfinder ever since. He has become a certified personal trainer with the help and support of Pathfinder. He has achieved significant career growth and is now a manager in the hospitality industry. With inspiration drawn from his experiences with Pathfinder, Jessy has transformed his life for the better and is dedicated to giving back as a youth board member, aiming to support others in the same way that Pathfinder supported him. In his free time, he enjoys martial arts, philosophy, and history.

Kayla Baldwin

Kayla is a Pathfinder graduate whose life journey has been marked by resilience and determination. As a teenager, she faced the challenges of navigating life on her own, paying rent, and confronting numerous obstacles. However, it was in these trying moments that she discovered her inner strength and embarked on a transformative journey towards becoming the confident and accomplished individual she is today. Her unwavering commitment transformed her into a skilled leader, adept at problem-solving and public speaking. She believes knowledge gives power to conquer the unknown and navigate life's challenges. Pathfinder's facilitated her transition, instilling self-belief and fostering lasting relationships, cementing her dedication to the program's ethos: "Once a Pathfinder, always a Pathfinder."

Amber Dubois

Cree/Saulteaux from Muskowekwan First Nation on Treaty 4 territory in Saskatchewan. Amber attained her Early childhood education at Vancouver community college in 2016 and moved onto working with at risk youth. Amber started working with All Nations You Safe House and recently moved to a new role as an Indigenous Youth Urgent Needs Coordinator with Frafca’s youth hub. Amber has been working with the community and is passionate about working with the urban Indigenous community and staying connected her culture.
