Orville Lee - President

Orville Lee co-founded the Pathfinder Youth Centre Society and the Pathfinder Youth Home and has a social work and psychology diploma. Orville has worked with many community partners as a mentor. He has changed the lives of many youth, who may have otherwise dropped out of school, became homeless, or had problems with the judicial system. Before opening The Pathfinder Youth Centre Society, Orville was a Canadian Football League player who won the Schenley Award in 1988 for being the most outstanding rookie.  In 2020, Orville spoke at TEDx Surrey on the topic of mentorship.

Ruth Lee - Executive Director

Ruth Lee co-founded the Pathfinder Youth Centre Society and Pathfinder Youth Home. She completed her business administration diploma, has over 39 years of administrative experience in various industries, and currently has the position of Executive Director for the Pathfinder Youth Centre Society. Ruth brings along her strong family values, her passion to help others, and her desire to see others succeed in life, which parallels the mission of the society. Ruth is very passionate about becoming a strong contributing leader in the community.

Alexis Charles - Community Outreach Director

From a young age, Alexis was involved in sports and received a football scholarship to Bakersfield College in California. He started his education at Grant MacEwan College where he studied Law Enforcement, completing his studies in 1989. Alexis then continued his education at Bakersfield College where he studied psychology, black history, and business fundamentals.

Alexis has had a successful career working in communities providing drug counseling, individual counseling, and program development for youth. He is passionate about being a role model and mentor for young, at-risk children through fostering teenagers in his family home. Alexis is an outstanding citizen and gives back to his community by volunteering with Community Living BC and Pathfinders Youth Society.  He is currently working with the Arfrochamber of commerce assisting families migrating to Canada from the Caribbean and Africa to settle smoothly to Canada.

Patricia Belgrave -

Vice President

Patricia has been supporting the Pathfinder Youth Centre Society since its inception. She has experience working with youth as a mentor, one-to-one support worker and project coordinator. She coaches and mentors female athletes and has volunteered with victim services with the RCMP.

Dyson Walker - Director

With over 20 years extensive experience in strategic planning, project management and business development. Dyson brings a wealth of experience to Pathfinders. Working in the health sector for local health authorities, the BC Ministry of Health and a number of small “Start ups”, some of Dyson’s major achievements range from representing the Province of British Columbia on national Telehealth initiatives to managing multi million-dollar projects in the health care field. 

Recently retired, Dyson is keen to be a contributing member to his community and looks forward to being an active member of the Pathfinder family.

Michelle Willows - Director

Michelle, has for over 30 years focused her career on people development. She worked in Corporate Human Resources for 9 years before joining Pathfinders in 2005 until 2011 to run their 6-month Working Together employment program. She left Pathfinders to work in higher education. Michelle has her Masters in Leadership and is an Associate Certified Coach. Michelle now works with the Pathfinder leadership team and does Job Coaching for the participants.

Susan Richards De Wit - Director

Susan has over 25 years as a management consultant specializing in strategic partnerships, public relations, corporate communications and digital strategy. Susan has lead strategic projects in everything from start-ups to growth stage companies, universities, not-for-profits, and healthcare providers. As a senior leader, Susan helps to drive change using strategic, creative, and fully integrated approaches to marketing communications, media relations, and all things digital. Susan helps companies communicate in ways that bring results in disruptive business environments.

Jamall Lee - Youth Director

Jamall Lee has been involved with the Pathfinder Youth Centre Society since 2003. Jamall was a manager of the Pathfinder Youth Homes for 5 years and was also part of the coaching staff for the Society’s free summer sports camps and recreation nights. Jamall is a certified behavior therapist (ASD) with a background in sociology, Indigenous psychology, and bio-cosmology. Additionally, Jamall is a former member of the BC Lions, and is now sharing his knowledge with others by providing fitness and health services and training. As a Youth Director, Jamall hopes to bring a fresh perspective and energy to the organization.
